Question Biting

i have 4 res and my 2 females currently have eggs. and i have 1 of my females biting the other ones back legs and tale trying to bite the bottom of the shell and the face as well. she does this when i take out the female so she can dig her holes. once i put her back in the tank she starts to smell her and then bites her i have to tap her shell @ least 3 times until she calms down. and reason why she does this what can i do?

My biggest question would be territory and habitat. How much room do these 4 have if they are housed together? How big are they all?... that will dictate minimum gallons needed plus that area to dig. I'm not so sure that 2 pairs can live peacefully in one habitat/tank especially when they are mature enough to breed and lay eggs.
I'm sorry, but it doesn't sound like the ideal situation for your females.
