Red eared slider compatibility?

Is there any type of fish or aquatic invertebrate (eg:crayfish, snails) that would be able to co-exist in the same tank as a red-eared slider without being eaten? Basically, would you be able to recommend anything that's fast enough to evade a turtle's attacks? Or alternatively, something that's big and tough enough to discourage a turtle from attacking it?

Also, is there anything that I can add to the tank that would improve the tank mate's chances of survival? A divider? Hiding holes? Fake plants? Large tank ornaments? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Tank mates

I`'ve asked the same question and all my research say`s no. Either the fish will eat the turtle or the turtle will be taking bites out of the fish, but I'm still looking too.

i recently was wondering that too with a new habitat project....
now, i did have a RES with a few goldfish at one time... yeah.. dumb... mainly because they both are really messy (lots of poop) animals
well... just one of the small gold fish survived and he just didnt have a taste for it.... it grew bigger than him and lived together peacefully for years!! .... soooo.... do think that regular ol comet goldfish can be housed with an RES.... i think it is just a hit or miss if the turtle eats it or not

Keep on swimming....
