What will a Turtle get along with?

So, I have a aquarium/vivarium that I need to populate. It has about 20g of water, and a 2'x1' corner island. I would like to add a turtle if I can - but I don't want it to be a 1-species tank. Can turtles get along with anything? Probably not fish (mmm, snack!), but what about inverts? Like crawdads or crabs? Or a good-sized frog?

Probably not, but I thought I would ask!

Thanks!

trust me a turtle will outgrow a 20gal on its own. its best u only have one turtle, and then plan to upgrade.

on the other hand if u wanted a crab only tank and other inverts that would be better, without th turtle

Hmm, ok. Maybe I will do that then. What type of inverts will get along with each other?

If you're feeling extremely adventurous, you could do a brackish setup with fiddler crabs and mudskippers. The mudskippers definitely aren't beginner fish, but they are very, very cool.

What would the brackish water do for the plants in the vivarium part?

Ah- there are some plants that are brackish, or will tolerate brackish conditions...some that won't...
