Red Eared Slider tank mates?

What other turtles could go with my 3 inch RES? I want a southern painted turtle. Will that work? If not, what other turtles can?

At a pet shop here they have RES with painted turtles and musk turtles. I plan to put my res with my painted in the pond this summer. My res is about the size of yours. They are so cute :)

It really depends on the personality of the red ear I used to keep (male which can be nasty )red earred with softshell turtles and a land box turtle they all got along fine for years... BUT now I have a red ear he lived with a musk turtle for over six months with no problems but then he started to bite her I had to move him out of the tank because they were becoming very bad bites :(

She isn't really aggressive. I pet and carry her all the time. Not even a nip.

I think a painted would be a good turtle 2 go w Kendra or a musk because she isn't aggressive.
