Alligator Snapper

I have an alligator snapper and I am looking for a little help. Alligator snapper don't bask so I was wondering if I used his regular light for day and used a moon light or BL black light at night if that would have an effect on him. Also since they don't bask do they need more calcium supplement or none at all? Any advice would be great.

not sure about basking but i would think it would be a bad idea to put the black light on as i would think they need a period of darkness.
