Technically that is all he really needs, but if you want to make it better...
Try adding some decoration like silk plants (or live ones that are safe in case he eats them) and other shelters for him to hide in and play in, and maybe even a shallow dish with reptile sand in it for him to use as a sand box. You may just find that a sand box will help to "litter train" him to some degree, I have seen it done many times over the years. This makes cleaning up after him even easier.
Box turtles are pretty easy to care for if their lighting is proper and they have plenty of space to move around, fresh water, good food. Keep in mind that ease of cleaning is important. Reptiles carry salmonella, so keeping them clean is important not only for their health, but for your own.
Have fun with him, box turtles are great! They love lots of attention.
